Continuing Education Credits

Accreditation
The American College of Surgeons is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians.

Physicians
The American College of Surgeons designates this educational activity for a maximum of 13.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ (or 6.5 credits for Day 1 or 7.0 for Day 2). Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

Nurses
For the purposes of recertification, the American Nurses Credentialing Center accepts AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ (or 6.5 credits for Day 1 or 7.0 for Day 2) issued by organizations accredited by the ACCME.

EMS-I
Sixteen (16.0) Continuing Education Credits have been approved by the Connecticut Department of Public Health, Office of EMS, for EMS-I's who complete this program (or 8.0 hours for Day 1 and 8.0 hours for Day 2).
